Urgench State Medical Institute, Department of English was established in 2019 based on the order of the rector of the institute. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Associate Professor Umida Bahodirovna was appointed head of the department. During the past 7 years, educational, educational-methodological, scientific research, spiritual-educational and mentoring work has been started and implemented effectively in the department. In particular, a study guide, a study methodical guide, and sets were created for students of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd year of foreign language in Medicine based on a model program.
            During the activity of the department, 3 English language teachers have the degree of doctor of philosophy (PhD) in philological sciences and are currently working on doctoral dissertations. 8 teachers of the department are currently conducting research on scientific research. Professors of the department published more than 10 monographs and articles in scientific journals recognized by the National Academy of Sciences. At the same time, the teachers of the department are constantly participating in scientific and practical conferences held on the international and national scale.
            Spiritual and educational work is being carried out effectively in the department. We can see this in the example of interesting events and exhibitions organized by the teachers of the department, as well as speaking clubs and circles that are conducted to support talented young people.
