
Urgench State Medical Institute Expands International Cooperation

📅 On 28–29 July 2026, the 3rd Uzbekistan–Kyrgyzstan Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions was held in the Kyrgyz Republic.
👨⚕️ Rashid Yusupovich Ruzibayev, Rector of Urgench State Medical Institute, participated in this prestigious international forum.
🤝 As part of the forum, Urgench State Medical Institute and the I.K. Akhunbayev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy (Bishkek) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation incorporating a five-year cooperation programme aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing the effectiveness of academic and scientific collaboration.
📌 Under the memorandum, the parties agreed to:
🔹 increase the number of students from the Kyrgyz Republic studying at Urgench State Medical Institute;
🔹 expand academic mobility programmes for students and faculty members;
🔹 implement joint research initiatives;
🔹 publish co-authored scientific papers and jointly participate in international grant projects.
🌐 Strengthening international cooperation creates new opportunities to enhance the quality of medical education, advance scientific research, and foster sustainable academic partnerships.
